Sun, Surf and Petrol: Gorgeous Gasoline Stations

If you have school-aged children or are going to school yourself then you know we’re in full-blown Spring Break mode.

Sun, surf, sand and (for those 21 and over) suds.

And on the road to wherever it is you’re going chances are you’ll also be stopping at a gas station, which for most, will likely be the least memorable of your Spring Break sojourns.

But not all gas stations are created equally. In fact, some of the biggies in design, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Jean Prouvé and Norman Foster, have designed gasoline stations.

So, here’s a look at some pretty impressive petrol stations:
